ASHEBORO CLINIC

REDUCING PAIN PROVIDING HOPE

Welcome to our Asheboro Clinic

Asheboro Clinic Providers

I am John Rice, an Asheville, North Carolina native. Before my professional career, I honorably served in the United States Navy.

I graduated with Distinction in Biology with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. From there, I received a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I then pursued Physician Assistant training at Duke University School of Medicine where I graduated with a Master of Health Science degree. I was also awarded a doctoral degree in Medical Science from The University of Lynchburg.

I am humbled to have been selected as a National Health Service Corps Scholar and dedicated much of my career to underserved and vulnerable populations. I received multiple honors and recognition such as the prestigious Thomas D. Chang Clinical Preceptor of the Year Award for Alderson Broaddus University. In addition, I held an academic appointment as an adjunct faculty member with Alderson Broaddus University.

I have a special interest in pain management and was a founding provider of the pain management program for my former health-care system.

I enjoy attending concerts, sports, the arts, music, college football, and playing golf. I am the very proud and devoted father of a son, Ilan, who currently attends college.

I am a native of Southern California and moved to Savannah, Georgia in 2006 with my husband who was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield.

I attended Armstrong Atlantic State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. Then I worked in neurology at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 2 years where I served as Co-Chairman on Shared-Governance Council for their Magnet Recognition Program. After moving to Columbus, Georgia I worked at St. Francis Hospital in surgical services, neurosurgery and orthopedics, as a circulator for 2 years.

In 2015 I moved to Pinehurst, North Carolina and continued in outpatient surgical services at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. I then returned to school after 6 years of bedside nursing at South University and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing with honors in May 2019.

I have been working at Integrated Pain Solutions since completing my Master’s and have worked in several of their clinics to include Fayetteville, Rockingham, Laurinburg, Asheboro, Pinehurst and Southern Pines, where I currently practices.

I look forward to expanding my practice to include treatment of Opioid Use Disorder and Substance Use Disorder, as well as treatment resistant Depression with Ketamine infusions.

I am a proud military spouse of 16 years and have 3 children and 2 bulldogs. I enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking and anything else that will get me outside with my family.
